Nice lustre / patina to the wood.  This is a very old used item with some minor dings and marks.

I obtained together with milliners antique hat / wig stands but I am not sure what milliner would have used it for. The bottom arm is only 15cm / 6" above the counter so it would only hold a small child's hat.  I think it is more likely a haberdashers stand for things like skeins of yarn or ribbon  OR a jewellers stand for watches / bangles / bracelets etc.

Good oak. No rot no worm.

41cm / 16" tall.  The chamfered base is about 15 x 15 cm (6" x 6").  The arms are about 28 cm (11 inches) long.
