Presented today we have an absolutely gorgeous vintage all stainless steel Delvina automatic compressor. This snazzy tv dialed beauty is from the 1970s and is powered by the swiss AS 1876 automatic movement. This movement has been completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and is keep wonderful time. This swiss movement sits snuggly inside its 37mm wide without the crown and 36mm hooded lug to hooded lug Swiss Brevet Compressor stainless steel case. These Compressors were designed at the time to actually get more waterproof as you descended. Long gone are the days of deepsea diving function here however the gleaming form still remains for admiration. The stainless case is a solid monocoque case that separates from the bezel. The back of this case, although somewhat faded from time and with a few age marks, still retains the image of the deepsea diver as well as the appropriate case labelings. The bezel housing of the watch has a mirror polished finish to the sides and a satin finished brushed bezel on the upper side of the case. Under the near perfect and extremely hard to replace crystal lies a very finely done silver finished dial. This dial with its unusual shape to fit the unusual shaped case has equally unusual but matching shaped block indices highlighted with hints of blue enamel accents. The Delvina and Genève labeling as well as the rest of the dial printing is done in midnight black. The silver polished finish hands have matching blue enamel accents as the indices do and a wonderfully shaped star boss seconds hand. The dial and hands do have some wear from age but hardly anything that would be noticable without magnification. The day date window is positioned at the 3oclock position and has a great colorway with the day in Spanish as well as red with white and the date in dial peint matching black and white. The date is set with a semi-quickset of advancement of the hands to midnight and back to 8 and forward again to advance. The case is fit to presumably the original bracelet but if it isnt then its the perfect match. With its massive 24mm lug width, it has case matching brushed center links with polished outter links. The clasp is sping loaded and provides a little extra room and pulls tight for a snug and secure fit. I have no extra links unfortunately but this does very comfortably fit my near 7.5in wrist, although I wouldn't expect anything more than that size. All in all this is one rocking beauty of a time piece from what I consider the best era for watch styling. Looking good and running good don't miss your opportunity to add this fine timekeeper to your collection. Bring home this rare piece of swiss engineering today.

I've tried my best to highlight the condition of this piece with the description as well as photos under a variety of light sources but please read the description and browse the photos to determine for yourself if this is the right watch for you. As a disclaimer for anyone unfamiliar with vintage timepieces I feel the need to also point out that even if gaskets have been replaced that any vintage antique watch should avoid contact with water no matter what the case says. Water tightness cannot be guaranteed after so many years and this must be stated. Any questions feel free to ask. Payment must be made within 24 hours of end of auction and no international shipping.
