The antenna switch is designed for HAM radio, featuring excellent performance and low insertion loss. Its performance is completely comparable to that of imported goods. It can be used for various Ham radio devices, including VHF UHF radios, mobile radios, shortwave radios, SDR receivers and FM radio receiving systems.

It is quite easy to use. Just flip the switch to select one access port. There are two connection ways commonly used:

Method 1: Two antennas connected to one radio. Attention: The two antennas are not essentially connected to the radio at the same time, but the corresponding antenna is selected by the switch. For example, you could equip the radio with an omnidirectional fiberglass antenna and a directional Yagi antenna. Switch to the antenna you want to use according to your needs. You can also connect 2 Yagi antennas to point in different directions, and switch the antennas in different directions through the switch. Because the signal strength of the radio will vary, the direction of the signal can be easily distinguished. When multiple antenna switches are used, you can switch to select more antennas.

Method 2: Two radios using one antenna. It is not recommended to use the means, because only one radio station is connected to the antenna at any time, the other one is not connected to the antenna. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm the startup and transmitting. It is only recommended for 2 receivers without transmit capability. Since the transmitting function is risky, it should be used with caution and at your own risk. In addition, this method can also be used for home decoration wiring. For example, an antenna is erected from the roof, a feeder is introduced into the room, and a radio station is placed in the living room and bedroom (the indoor feeder is arranged in advance). At the home feeder end, users can switch the antenna signal between different houses via the antenna switch. It is very convenient to use.

Due to different received signal strength, there will be inductive signals, that is, when using one antenna to connect two radios, the radio that is not connected to the antenna can still receive the signal got by the antenna. But if you want to transmit, you must choose the radio that the antenna is connected to by the switch. Additionally, pay attention to the method of two radio stations sharing one antenna. If one of the radio stations transmits, there will be a strong induction signal to the other one through the nearby space, feeder, switch and other connecting components. Such equipment will produce unpredictable effects and injuries, so experiment with transmit power and duration with caution. Please note that the equipment damage caused by the connection shall be borne by the user.

Attention:

Due to different production batches, the switching direction of the product is not necessarily the same as the port access. Before using this product, use a multimeter to measure and confirm the correspondence between the direction of the lower switch handle and the two connected ports, and make a mark for ease of use. Normally, when the switch is turned to the right, the interface on the left is the access end, and the interface on the right is disconnected.
