An attractive hand written 17th century Indenture on vellum.

 

Nice calligraphy. 3 pendant wax seals which are larger than normal and in good condition.

 

Measures 21 inches by 14 inches.

 

Dated 3 May 1657.

•    Lawrence Halsteed of Bray in the County of Berks, Esq.

•    William Foster of Aldermaston in the County of Berks, Esq.

•    Moyles (?) Maynard of Wynersh (Winnersh) in the Parish of Hurst in the County of Berks, Gent. 

 

Relates to the Grant and Release of a Messuage and one yard land called Seamans lying in Winnersh within the Manor of Sonning in the County of Berks - in the possession of occupation of Joane Maynard, Widow.

 

CONDITION.  Contents complete. No holes or tears. Good clean condition. Ink clear and free of fading. Wax seals in very good complete condition.
