Since relaunching in late 2019, the Nike Air Max Plus 3 has enjoyed a relatively quiet retro release run, especially when compared to its visible Airbag-donning kin. The silhouette has recently emerged in an all-“Black” leather ensemble that ostensibly marks the beginning of ramped-up production.

Unlike its most beloved arrangements, this iteration of the Air Max Plus‘ successor forgoes the bold gradients in favor of a rather tonal color scheme. “Black” takes over the cold weather-ready leather upper, iconic TPU overlays, and aggressive plastic heel structure; “Dark Smoke Grey” accents slightly interrupt the mostly “yin” makeup across the tongue and heel. Underfoot, the Air Max Plus 3 (also known as Tn3) boasts an equally-muted sole unit, though Airbags throughout opt into a clear finish. “Tn AIR” badges on the outsole, medial heel, tongue, and sockliner add some much needed flair to this option
