She was built by Harland & Wolff Ltd., Belfast, Ireland for the Pacific Steam Navigation Co and launched in 1923.

She was a 12,257 GT ship with dimensions of 525'x62'.  Twin-screw, 14 knots, steam turbines, two masts and one funnel.

Broken up for scrap in Italy in 1939.
