Newly cinevised, gorgeous & perfectly matched "Late '80s" Leica R Cine-Set with New Duclos Cine-Mods® + custom front caps in Canon EF/EOS mount is now available. The lenses were recently professionally checked/serviced, and the full set was several months in the making (i.e. acquiring 4-5 of each focal length, and selecting the very best). This set covers most sensor sizes like a champ and is the only late-70s one available worldwide!

Leica R lenses are known for their cinematic/filmic rendering qualities – great for taking the edge off today's high-resolution sensors with amazing imagery captured straight from camera. This set is comprised of highly sought after late '80s vintage Leica R Lenses including the 24mm Elmarit-R workhouse, the high-speed 50mm Summilux-R along with the 90mm v3 portraiture king. All serial #s are from the late '80s, within only 2 years of one-another, for perfectly matched vintage color/rendering style (no small feat as Leica Rs were produced over a 40+ year time-span with frequent color / version updates). 

Every lens was also cherry-picked, usually out of several copies, for great glass and cine-like focus movement and then cine-serviced as necessary too.

  • 9+/10 Cosmetically only slight signs of visible use/wear to the finish. No dents, dings or scratches.
  • 9+/10 Optically clean and clear (Recently professionally checked and serviced as necessary, some normal micro-dusts remain). The coatings and internal elements look great. Without: fungus, haze, fog, dust build-up, scratches or issues! 
  • 9+/10 Mechanically superb with smooth consistent focus movement. Aperture, iris professionally declicked. Recently serviced as needed.

1. Focus Gear 
Duclos Lenses seamless 32-pitch (0,8 module) focus gears are precision machined from solid Black Delrin®, tailored to each lens individually in-house to ensure a no-slip, non-binding reliable fit. Every gear is machined and installed by a skilled technician on an individual basis to ensure a lifetime of accurate operation. No zips, clips, or 3D prints from Duclos Lenses!

2. Front Ring
Duclos Lenses front rings thread directly into the existing filter threads of your lens and provide a common 80mm outside diameter surface for clamp-on accessories as well as a 77mm filter thread on each ring. Precision machined from billet 6061 aluminum and anodized black for a durable finish. Available sizes range from a mere 47mm all the way up to an 82mm Step-Down ring.

3. Front Cap 
Custom Optical Brilliance Designed front cap includes important info like focal length, speed, series and close focusing distance for each lens. Made from a durable, protective thermoplastic polymer and plated fronts, they're engineered to absorb impact, and keep your lenses clean & safe. 

4. De-Click / Dampen
Aperture de-clicking is a vital part of the Cine-Mod. A true cinema lens features a step-less aperture that allows fine adjustment without "clicking" between f-stops. Duclos Lenses modifies the aperture movement by removing the "click" mechanism and damping the movement to create a consistent, creamy rotation. We use a high-quality lubricant to ensure a professional feel and operation of your lens.

5. Duclos Canon EF/EOS mount. 
The mount conversions that Duclos Lenses provides are made from billet stainless steel to provide a robust, reliable marriage between your lens and camera body. All mount conversions include parts, hardware, installation, and calibration. The installation is carried out by a skilled technician and properly collimated using specialized test equipment.

Note: The lenses in this set were recently professionally checked and serviced as warranted – cleaned, lubed and adjusted for optimal cine-performance.
