Vintage Tech - 80’s Lampways Angle Lamp In Original Box With Vintage 80’s Bulb

This Is A Vintage Lampways Angle Lamp (Adjustable Light) From The 1980’s In The Original Box.

Acquired As Part Of A House Purchase Where The Deceased Elderly Previous Owner’s Home Contents Came With The House. This Was One Of Many Old, Vintage & Antique Items Found.

It Has Presumably Been Used At Some Point, But Appears To Have Been Left In Its Original Box & Forgotten About As It Was Found In The Loft & Had A Acquired A Lot Of Dust.

I Have Tested The Light & It Appears To Work Fine - As Can Be Seen In The Photos - However I Am Unsure As To How Much Use It Has Had Prior To It Coming Into My Possession - I Would Speculate However, That It Has Been Sitting In That Box Unused For At Least 30 Years, Given The Age Of The Former Owner (96 In 2021).

There Are Many Adjustable Parts On The Light - The Light Seating / Body Rotates 180° As Does The Neck Attached To The Adjustable Frame. There Is Then An Elbow Style Joint That Allows You To Adjust The Height, And Finally The End Of The Frame Has A Black Plastic Stopper That Slots Into A Clamp, And Allow The Light To Be Manually Rotated - It’s Quite Cool Piece Of Vintage Tech.

Please Be Aware That There Is No Light Hood With This - Presumably It Would Have Came With The Product But It Appears To Be Missing, Meaning That The Bulb Is On Open Display - It May Be Possible To Find A Replacement Hood Or Something Similar That Would Surround The Bulb, However I Am Unsure As To This, And Therefore Cannot Say With Any Certainty If An Appropriate Replacement Exists.

It Is A Bayonet Fitting & A UK Three Pin Plug. I Have Taken A Photo Of The Electrical Information Sticker Which Is Inside The Bulb Seating.

The Lamp Also Comes With A Vintage Lampways Hobby Lite Bulb (With Its Original Box) - Which Can Be Seen In The Photos. I Cannot Say For Any Certainty How Much Life Is Left In The Bulb However - It May Be Minutes, Months Or Somewhere In Between - I Have No Way Of Knowing.

As A Used Item, There Are A Minor Amount Of Marks & Blemishes Here & There, But The Lamp Is In Very Nice Condition For 80’s Tech.

The Same Cannot Be Said For The Box - Although Rigid & Stable - There Is Old Sellotape Residue Around The Box, Some Surface Tearing In The Card, Where The Art Is Ripped, And A Bunch Of Marks & Blemishes - The Most Significant Being A Discolouration Mark In The Top Right Corner (When Facing Down At The Box) - Which Looks Like A Stain From A Dark Liquid - Coffee Or Some Such, And Extends A Few Inches On The Front & Back Of The Box. There Is Some Ingrained Dust In The Cardboard - Given This Is From The 80’s, It’s Still In Decent Condition.

The Approximate Height Of The Light When Fully Extended From The Top Of The Bulb Seating To The Black Plastic Stopper Is About 29 Inches - Give Or Take An Inch Or Two - It Is Hard To Gauge Exactly As There Are A Lot Of Moving Pieces.

I Would Ask Any Potential Buyers To Consult & Scrutinise The Photos Closely To Determine The Suitability For Themselves - I Am Not An Expert On Lights Or Electricals - Hence I Have Tried To Take As Many Photos From As Many Different Angles As I Can.

If You Have Any Questions Or Queries About The Light, Please Don’t Hesitate To Message Me - Cheers.
