Antique LARGE Iroquois Beaded Boot Pin Cushion Sewing Pocket Birds Flowers.

Description: This large and ornate Iroquois beaded boot pin cushion is one of the largest I've had. Finished with glass beads in various colors including blue, gold, green, the piece also has several tassels and beaded fringe. It features a bird form near the top and on the toe of the boot, and beaded floral rosettes. The top opens up to a padded pocket. A hanging string with white beads was added at a later date. Stuffed with what is likely excelsior stuffing along with wool batting, the piece is quite heavy.

Condition: In good antique condition. A hanging string with white beads was added at a later date, replacing the original.  The beading on the bottom fringe has two places where the thread is loose, and a single strand is missing from the fringe on the bottom.. There are three small tears on the back, where the string is attached and a bit further down near a coin-sized spot that appears to have been touched up (See photos.)

Size: Approx. 6 1/2" W by 9 3/4" H, not including the bottom fringe.
