Antique Swift & Son brass binocular microscope.

Large example with interesting stage configuration.

Rotating stage with glass insert and a brass framework on a lever to manually manipulate the slide.

Substage condenser assembly with rack work to adjust the height of the condenser lens. Iris (working) and a primitive pair of dark stops on a lever. Wheel of apertures is missing from the underside.

Microscope stands 17+" (44cm) high as photographed.

Optically pretty good for its age. Binocular function is ok. Replaced the objective pictured for a better example that works.

See images for condition. Polished and relacquered. Focusing and mechanical parts are smooth.
Small screw missing from underside of the stage lever assembly.
Wenham prism is present as is the Polarising unit in the main tube (both are missing their tiny knurled stops).
Mismatched eyepieces.

A working microscope and a great display piece.
