The late Kenzo Takada was not only one of the most popular fashion designers in the world, he was also a connoisseur and collector of porcelain, both European and East Asian.  But for him these were not just mere display pieces, to be put in a showcase; he put them to their intended use as tableware when entertaining guests at his luxurious apartment in Paris.  This is a rare opportunity to obtain an item that had been owned and used by one of fashion's grandmasters.


Object: Imari bowl from the mid-Edo period (18th century), decorated in underglaze blue as well as overglaze enamels.
