This is my 1961 RE Bullet first registered 5th June 1961 and has a V5 registration document. It was my plan to remove the registration and place it on my car, but circumstance prevails and I now have to sell before I am able to do this.

Was bought as a complete bike in need of reassembly, some parts were missing or not present when it was thoroughly examined at home. Replacement parts are obvious the seat and rear mudguard as well as the Smiths speedometer. As you can see it is in fairly good condition and the engine runs. The clutch case has been filled with oil and I have gone up and down my drive. I never realised these bikes pull so strongly when in first gear.

New needle and carburettor jets fitted with the exception of the main jet. I had to reinstall the original jet as the new jet was making the bike difficult to start and it's now probably one of the easiest starting bikes I have ever had.

Its been converted to a 12v electrics with a new battery, rectifier regulator and ignition coil.

There is a link to video of the bike running on YouTube https://youtu.be/ksImnmETBEk

The distributor was also missing when I bought the bike so I've used one from a spare G2 engine I have. The fitted distributor is damaged slightly on the electrical connection position although I have included a replacement distributor body with the bike. I have also included the original RE tank badges which appear to be beyond reasonable repair. Those with a keen eye for detail will notice the centre stand is resting on wooden blocks. This is because the stand appears to be a little short, as 'someone in the past has fitted 19 wheels' not  the 17" wheels as standard? Chrome is a little thin in places but reasonable for its age. The ignition switch is original and were always abused eventually being able operate with a screwdriver or any key that will fit the hole. These are easily replaced with one of the multitude of similar item on E Bay etc. The red paint colour is Volkswagen Mars Red just in case you were wondering.

Not a perfect example and is in need of some TLC but it's a 63 year old bike after all and one that was built to last.
