Used Roland VariOS in its original box.  The unit has some minor rack rash, but is in perfect working order.

Please note that this unit is intended to be used with a computer and Roland has not updated the related software and drivers in many years.  Here are the current offerings:

I’ve personally only tested and used the unit with Windows XP.  According to the following thread, it is possible to use it with Windows 10, but I have not tested this or done any testing on macOS:

Note to the buyer regarding testing the unit upon receipt: While the unit is supposed to include a demo song, this is not working.  I’m not sure that it ever has asI never used it.  In light of that, I’ve included some samples for the purposes of testing.  The process is as follows:

1. Connect a MIDI controller/keyboard and set it to output on MIDI channel 1.

2. Press MENU, navigate to Disk and press ENTER.

3. Navigate to Load and press ENTER.

4. Navigate to Flash ROM and press ENTER.

5. Navigate to DEMO and press ENTER.

6. Navigate to Sample and press ENTER.

7. Select one of the samples and press ENTER.

You can now play the sound from the controller/keyboard.
