THE CHINA IS STURDY AND THE RIMS & HANDLES ARE HEAVILY GILT. THE SQUARE SHAPE AT THE TOP OF THE HANDLES IS VERY APPEALING. I DO NOT KNOW IN WHAT DECADE THIS CHINA WAS PRODUCED. IT COMES FROM THE ESTATE OF A WELL TRAVELED ELDERLY WOMAN SO I BELIEVE IT WAS ACQUIRED IN THE 1950s – 1960s. I DO NOT KNOW THE PATTERN NAME BUT IF IT IS THE ONE YOU ALREADY COLLECT THIS PURCHASE WILL BE A WELCOME ADDITION TO YOUR SERVICE. OF COURSE, THE SET WILL BE FINE FOR A COLLECTOR OF VARIOUS PATTERNS. The creamer is approximately 4 3/4" handle to spout tip, 3" front to back and 4 3/4" high to the spout tip. The weight is just about 3.5 oz. The sugar is approximately 5 1/4" handle to handle, 3 1/4" front to back and 3 1/4" high to the top of the lid knob. The weight is just about 5.7 oz. The combined weight is 9.2 oz. The completed carton will ship insured USPS Priority at the 1 pound rate.
THE CONDITION:
Excellent considering the advanced age. ●●●Please allow the photos to guide you as they are the lion’s share of this description.●●● This is what I see: there is some very light handling showing on the gold areas; there are small light rubs on the handle corners and on the top of the lid knob [please bear in mind that the lighting has made these minor rubs appear much worse than they actually are]; the unglazed base rings show some shelf/table friction. Otherwise I do not see anything of serious consequence to describe. ●●●I hope I have not missed anything. If I did, it was surely minor and 100% unintentional.●●● Just about 99% of the collectibles I offer are vintage/pre-owned and may show a small amount of use. I never list items with serious damage or flaws. I often heighten the contrast in my pictures to bring out all the details.
