Plastic molded Billboard with printed paper advertising insert.
The billboards have a magnetic insert on the back but will stand alone -or use a prop - look great in a train layout!

Dated 1995. Made in the USA.
Size: 2.25" tall, 4" wide, 0.5" deep

Condition - New old stock - no scratches, no dents, no dings, no defects. Comes in original plastic bag with paper hanger.

The Roadside America series "Magnetic Billboards of Yesteryear" is a collection of plastic billboards, replicas of actual advertisements found across America. Each magnet has a colored plastic border around a decal of the advertisement in the center and a magnet on the back. Check out the rest of my auctions to collect the entire set!

This magnet hearkens back to the 1950s, when Pepsi adopted a new advertising slogan to combat its growing notoriety as a "kitchen cola". To distance itself from other bargain brands, Pepsi began appealing to the young, fashionable crowd with its new slogan: "Be sociable, have a Pepsi". On this magnet, the slogan appears over a blue and yellow background in red and blue lettering. On the right, the Pepsi-Cola bottle cap logo appears in red, white and blue. On the left, a young man sits with his back to us. Leaning against him is a young beautiful woman in a black dress, red sweater and pearl necklace, her legs stretched in front of her for most of the length of the billboard. Both socialites hold a Pepsi (his in the bottle, hers in a highball); a sandwich on a plate rests next to the woman.

The plastic border of the magnet is lime green.

The signs will stand on their own, and will look great in a train display. I'm not sure if it is HO scale? Let me know!
