Description: An interesting and attractive, original, antique, double-sided strip road map from a c.1724 edition of John Owen & Emanuel Bowen's 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd'.

The sheet of hand-laid paper is printed on both sides. The copper-engraved strip maps (with accompanying information about the locations along the route and embellishments such as coats of arms) are pages 231 & 232 of 'Britannia Depicta'. They have significant detail of topography and place names with the main locations along the route as follows:

Page 231 - Newcastle, Hexham

Page 232 - Carlisle

Provenance: 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd'

Condition: Very good condition. Slight age toning/handling marks. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
