Original 1951 Mercury Hood Ornament Chrome 8M-16850. 

This is an original hood ornament for a 1949 thru 1951 Mercury car, part number 8M-16850. The ornament is complete and unbroken and has the mounting studs. There is some pitting as shown in the pictures. There is also a few minor dings and scratches. The plating looks to be in descent condition. This ornament would be good for a driver quality car and would also be a good candidate for re-plating for show.
