The lock has the initials  FT stamped.

I found a very similar lock set and knob set in an early P.E Guerin catalog. 

The lock with the stay measure 8-1/4" x 3" 

Two very light dents on the top left edge.

This piece is exactly as shown in the photos and has not been restored just cleaned up a bit.
