Four Ports For RF Signal & One Data Port
This amplifier can feed four televisions or four FM receivers
PPC EVOLUTION EVO1-5-U/P 5 Port Signal Splitter/Amplifier
No power adapter comes with this amplifier
This is an excellent RF Amp,
especially for over the air (OTA) antenna fed signal. I have a single antenna
in the attic and I can feed 4 TVs without an issue. The antenna had to be
raised a bit more to get the strongest signal from it. I used an RF Amp at the
antenna and fed the 12 volts DC through the coax cable that was initially used
for Comcast Cable. The signal, before adding this amp was weak because I split
the one signal and had no way of amplifying the signal from the antenna. So I
had to buy one of these because my antenna could only handle two TVs w/o the
amp. The quality of
any TV is degraded by loose connections, dirty center wire on the cable or
incorrectly installed RG6 F-connectors. When your connections are loose, you
lose much of the signal because of the higher frequency that is used to
broadcast TV signals. This is not your audio cable that you can patch together
by twisting two wires or taping two cables without using the proper fittings
and clean center wire on a 75 Ohm cable. Properly installed drop and
distribution of this signal will provide you with the best signal
possible. It is recommended that you use a 75 Ohm terminator cap on any unused ports to keep the RF signal at its optimum.
This signal splitter/amplifier is great for adding more boost to your cable system or over the air signal. This unit can be found in many applications where you may need to provide a strong signal to four TV locations in your home. Also, this is used with apartment complex and even in department stores to improve signal to all their TVs for sale. Excellent for fringe areas like the suburbs where signal is weak even with an amplified over the air antenna. Great for FM receivers too. The key with this unit is to have a strong signal with cable or antenna. The issue is when you try to divide the strong signal and then you notice a degraded picture. The only option you have is to keep that strong signal isolated to the one TV set. Unless you add this splitter amplifier, then you will be able to send the strong signal to four TVs at the same time. If you have a degraded signal at the antenna, then that needs to be fixed first. Same thing with a weak signal from your cable company.
5-Port Entry Series
The Entry Series is the perfect all in one multi-service drop solution. This UL listed, gas-tube surge protected device has four active unity gain (no loss) ports and a passive VoIP port that is protected with Return Loss Saver technology which maintains SCTE recommended RF performance on the INPUT and VoIP ports even when power is lost.
