Gibson Dove Custom 1974 Acoustic Guitar Japan Used

Description

DOVE (DOVE) began production in 1962 as a higher-end model of HUMMINGBIRD.
This model with a maple body and long scale has attracted many fans with its unique sound and distinctive looks that only this model can produce.
This instrument is a vintage 1974 Dove Custom.

Top: Spruce
Side & Back: Maple
Neck: Maple
Fingerboard: Ebony
Bridge: Ebony
Pegs: Grover
Other: 43mm nut width, 648mm scale, ox bone nut and saddle

The Dove features a square-shoulder body and maple side and back.
This instrument has a strong construction with a 3-piece maple neck and double X bracing, which is characteristic of the early 1970s, and this is why it sounds so great today.

After it arrived at our store, the frets were re-fretted, the nut and saddle were replaced, and the bridge plate was repaired to show the potential of the instrument, resulting in a superb sound and playability.
The sound hole crack repair, bridge crack repair, etc. have been overhauled, so you can use the guitar with peace of mind.
There are some areas on the head and neck where the paint seems to have peeled off in reaction to the guitar hanger, but these are not cracks in the wood.
Overall, there are some signs of use and repairs, but if you see it in person, you will love the sound.

The case is not original, but a chipboard case is included.
