Beautiful medium sized (22,6 cm) handpainted wall plate / dish made in 1968 by De Porceleyne Fles in Delft, the Netherlands. The dish has a rimless decoration painted underglaze in classic Delft Blue style. It features two birds of paradise in a fantasy garden filled with elaborate Delft style flowers and ornaments. This design is rare for De Porceleyne Fles and has a surprisingly modern feel to it, even though it was produced in 1968. The painting is of a very high quality.


The backside of the dish is signed with a handpainted De Porceleyne Fles Delft mark,

The plate has two small holes in its footring with a metal wire through it to hang it on a wall.


Condition: very good There are no damages or restorations, the glaze has a beautiful gloss and shows no wear or crazing.


A beautiful, charming and very nicely painted dish from one of the best Delftware factories of the Netherlands. It can be used as a decorative wall hanging, but can also be placed on its own in a plate stand
