Here for your bidding consideration is a bit of an UNUSUAL late 1950s era Tissot gents wristwatch that is very close to being a square shape case and features FULL SWEEP seconds- not often seen in period square or rectangle shaped watches!  Please READ this description carefully- this watch does run but needs a sweep second hand (tiny) adjustment so that it will stop hitting the crystal and stopping the movement.  I took the bezel off of this watch and wound and set the time (the action is smooth on both) and ran it under a glass on my desk for 20 hours and it came out about “right on” with my known accurate Swiss Quartz wristwatch.  The dial looks like it may be an aging (with some tiny pieces of dirt and lint on it here and there) restoration that is now decades old.

The movement is a Tissot Caliber 781 with a serial number of 5,403,867.  The case on this watch measures about 28.6mm wide not including the stem/crown by 37.3mm lug to lug.  The bezel of this watch is micron gold plated and in generally at LEAST ‘very good’ cosmetic condition with some easy gains to be had from some basic cosmetic detailing and light polishing.  The domed effect crystal will need a basic buffing in order to look its best once again.  The inside case back on this one is marked 41400-3, a rather long Tissot model number but must be it.  This watch comes on a beautifully richly colored brown genuine lizard 19mm wide strap that is probably from the 1960s or 1970s and still brand new!  NO RESERVE on this unusual vintage Tissot with loads of potential!
