The " Spice of Life ", a pattern also known as "French Spice", was first introduced around 1972 and was in production until late 1980's. This pattern then became an instant favorite among home cooks and popular among collectors, second only to the Corn Flower series.
In 1989, Corning Ware brand was sold to Borden after which it was re-named World Kitchen Market (WKM). Under this new brand (WKM ), new versions of the cornflower pattern were then produced in 1990's. Most collectors, however, appear to prefer the vintages pieces / original production pieces.
