“Bullfighting” (1952) 16mm Film Home Movie, Couple, Yosemite, Toreador, Pano, VS

Another great film by my favorite female couple capturing their 1952 trip to Yosemite and points of interest along the way. Clearly adventurous, the couple caught a bullfight on the way among other sightseeing.

FILM CONDITION:

The film appears to be in acceptable condition and ran smoothly on a manual thread Revere projector. Film has some warp at the beginning, but still has vivid colors and ran smoothly on the projector.

VINEGAR SYNDROME:

An A-D strip test indicates that the film is at level 1 and is currently in cold storage to prevent further degradation.

Rough timeline:

1 min - stop on the road, mountains, clowning for camera

30 sec - at motel

1 min - playing outside, walking out of cabin

1 min 45 sec - panorama of desert, couple posing

45 sec - continental divide trading post, lady making rug, area

2 min - bullfight

30 sec - sunset, pano of desert

45 sec - couple walking around flower garden

1 min 15 sec - snow on cabins
