Description: An original antique copper-plate engraved map of the environs of Tunis, also showing the remains of a Roman aqueduct. This is the second state of the map (with latitude graduations in the left border) which was engraved by either Jodocus Hondius or Pieter Van den Keere. It was published in a French text edition of Petrus Bertius' 'Tabularum Geographicarum'

Condition: Good condition. Age toning. Slight stain to the top margin. Several pinprick holes to the top edge of the sheet, not affecting the printed area. Please study all the images carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
