Petite Antique Silver Needle Case

French * Circa 1830

This solid silver needle case is in the form of a column with fluted sides and ornate leafy finials.  It is stamped with the French rabbit head silver hallmark that was used in Paris for 800 silver (800/1000 pure) from 1819-1838. The condition is excellent with no dents, splits or other damage. It closes snugly and measures almost 2 3/4" long. It is smaller than usual for these early French needle cases and may have been part of a travel or child's set.

I stand behind everything that I offer and guarantee that it is exactly as presented.
