Description: An original, antique, copper-plate engraved, 17th century road map by John Ogilby. It includes a very decorative title cartouche and is hand coloured and printed on hand-laid paper. Drawn on a scale of one inch to a mile it includes topographical features and notable landmarks as the road passes through numerous settlements including Birmingham, Dudley, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Welshpool.

Condition: Good condition. Centrefold, as published. Light age toning.  A slightly ragged left edge to the sheet, and a few minor nicks to the right edge, not affecting the printed area. Please study all the images very carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
