An original Oriental gouache painting on black cotton canvas. Thought to be Japanese.
It depicts a little brightly coloured finch like bird perched on a sprig of a blue flowering plant.
Signed and sealed in characters upper right.
Estimated date 1970s.
In very good original condition and very well presented with a black painted wood frame with antiqued gilt gesso inner. The frame is in very good vintage condition, some small signs of age but nothing signficant.
Measures 37 x 32cm including the frame, the visible painting only is 24 x 19cm.
