What  a very handsome English moulded jug.  This one was manufactured by Mayer Co.  on July 2, 1850.  Features two boys climbing a tree looking for birdnests.  One boy cradles baby birds in his lap as the other reaches for another nest higher up the tree.  Wonderful tree branch handle spreading all around the jug.  Very detailed and all white is raised relief.  This jug has its original pewter lid on the top.  Maker's marks on underside.  Diamond registry date mark for July 2, 1850.  Wonderful display.
