These are our pair of IHS vintage brass altar candle sticks (candles not included).  Shield holds the inscription "IHS" and the background has the remains of the original burgundy colour.

Lovely patina and a good conversation piece when used on our dining table.  The candle holder tops are both tilted, they were made in that fashion and they hold the candle perfectly straight.  Some of the gilt to the very attractive trefoil filigree work has been rubbed away from use and the brass has aged commensurate with their age.  They are charming and look great with lit candles.
