SBS BTM 03 Stereo Bluetooth Module for Autocom Intercoms

This is a direct replacement for the Autocom BTM 02 A

This stereo Bluetooth module is suitable for Autocom Super Pro Automatic and Logic intercoms.  If you wish to use it on a pre-2009 hub*, please read the instructions, below

COMPATIBLE WITH THE BMW TFT SCREEN

The BTM-03 is an A2DP Stereo Bluetooth Module for use with any device such as BMW TFT, GPS or mobile phone.

The unit supports auto-answer feature and headset profile. It will stream music in full stereo providing the device it connects to is capable of A2DP.

Compatible with most Bluetooth phones & devices.

This Stereo Bluetooth Module enables you to connect your Autocom System to the BMW TFT screen or to any Bluetooth enabled Sat Nav or to your mobile phone.

This will enable you to then connect your phone to the TFT or Sat Nav to make and receive calls and listen to music from your phone.

You will need two modules if you want to connect to the BMW TFT Screen AND to your Sat Nav.

Simply connect the BTM 03 unit to a switched power supply, plug it into your Autocom unit and pair it to your TFT Screen or sat-nav - then pair your phone.  Once paired, it will automatically re-pair if the connection is lost with no buttons to push.  The module is grounded through the dedicated power lead so does not suffer from the poor connection issues the BTM 02 suffers (due to it being grounded via the audio lead).

The unit comes (as standard) with 1500mm 3.5mm 4 pole plug cable, a 500mm power lead, instructions and hook and loop tape for attaching the unit.

*We can supply a 3 pole to 4 pole cable (SBS BT 201) as an alternative replacement for the 4 pole to 4 pole.  Please send a note with your hub details before purchasing to ensure correct fitment.

The module measures 60mm x 37mm x 20mm

CONNECTING A BTM 03 TO AN AUTOCOM HUB

Post 2009 4 Pole Systems (Super Pro Automatic and Logic): Use a 4 pole to 4 pole lead.

Where you want to connect a phone and or GPS via Aux 2 to a pre-2009 system, the Aux 2 automatically mutes the incoming audio, which is detrimental to any two-way conversation. Therefore, using the BTM-O3 is the preferred method of connecting to phones and GPS’s as you cannot get the same result with part 4066 due to the muting function on socket 2

Super Pro AVI, Active Plus and Easi Plus: Use a 4 pole to 4 pole cable into Aux 2 – you may get a muting issue when using a mobile phone.  Only if this causes you an issue will you need the BT203 cable.

WARNING: the Power Link on these hubs must be deactivated.  We are happy to supply instructions on how to do this.

To overcome this muting issue when using a BTM-O3, you will need to use the BT203 lead with the following instructions

Easi Plus - Connect using BT-203 black into Aux 2. (Does not mute). Yellow into Aux 3 It will be Stereo

Active Plus – Connect using BT-203 black into Aux 1 with link Disabled. Yellow into Aux 2. It will be Stereo.

Pro-Avi – Connect using BT-203 black into Aux 1 with link Disabled. Yellow into Aux 2. It will be stereo.

All other pre-2009 hubs with a 3 Pole System:

Use a 4 pole to 23 pole lead. Connect the 4 pole plug to the BTM03 and the 3 pole plug to the phone input socket.
