Size: The printed area measures approximately 385mm x 500mm with good sized margins beyond, French text verso.

Description: A very attractive, copper-engraved county map of Nottinghamshire published in the 1645 French edition of Joan Blaeu's 'Atlas Novus'. The map is printed on good quality, hand-laid paper and is outline hand coloured. It features several  royal coats of arms and a decorative title cartouche and distance scale.

Condition:  Excellent condition. Centrefold as published. Good wide margins. One or two dust/handling marks to the margins but generally very clean. 2cm closed tear at the top edge of the sheet, well away from the printed area. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
