This listing is for a Bakelite round dolly light switch made by Britmac. It was purchased as 'new-old stock' and still remains in unused /as new condition. It has been sitting in the  loft for many years as was surplus to requirements in our home renovation project. We purchased many more of  these switches at the same time and in 20+ years of use, the ones we fitted have never failed and worked perfectly. Dating from the 1930s this is a rare find, as these are very hard to come by, let alone unused and in its original  packaging.  It sits on a vitreous base and has brass internal workings. It is an early model as is stamped "Patent applied  for" on the base. It was purchased as one gang 2 way - please see picture of 4 internal terminals. Diameter of base is c6cm and it projects about 4.5cm from the wall when actually fitted. Boxed in its original packaging it will also be well wrapped for postage and sent by Royal Mail, RM48 and tracked. The buyer may wish to have it tested by an electrician before use, although it should be in good working  order, same as the ones we actually fitted.  This one has never been used or fitted.
