OBJECT// Antique Japanese very fine and rare top quality carved boxwood Netsuke mask of Daikoku (one of the seven gods of good fortune) beautiful attention to detail to the expression, careful engraving to the beards hair work, shibayama inlayed decoration to the hat, stunning rich patina to the boxwood, signed to the bottom Chikuzan. Dating from the early 19th century, Meiji period piece, genuine antique netsuke which is great from all angles, superb colour and patina, serious collectors object. This week I'm selling another fine Netsuke so please see my other items.
