The Swiss company "Paillard" started producing the small portable machine "Hermes Baby" in 1935. It was an instant success and immediately delighted customers with its technical solutions, small dimensions and extremely low weight (3.6 kg). Today's connoisseurs call it "the iPod of its time" and some consider it probably the coolest machine ever designed. A special name was even invented for this type of machine: "ultra-portable".
