“Negro, TX” (1940) 8mm Film Home Movie, Black Families, Prisoners, Dance +, VS2

Film opens with a rolling title clip that was apparently a souvenir purchase. The filmmaker typed out and filmed title shots and edited them in to the film to identify the footage. Very helpful.

Film opens with rolling information footage about Negro, Texas then continues with personal footage of black families and children dancing for the tourist who also captured a prison work group, bridge at Port Arthur, deep sea fishing trip, an oil refinery and ships in the canal.
