As shown on the cover (and on page 30) of the 1894 PAIRPOINT Manufacturing Company Catalogue (reprint) - this is their model #668 Quadruple Plate silver Frame & Lid with a ROYAL FLEMISH art glass jar/insert made by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. - decorated with DAISIES.
The Frame has a double hoop handle with open work scroll design inserts on the sides - an embossed floral pattern base supported on 4 paw feet - and a scalloped edge holder for the jar - the repousse design on the base is repeated on the matching Lid.
A clear frosted art glass Jar fits into the frame perfectly. It is decorated with Gold Scrolls and white enamel Daisies, linked with delicate purple branches - a piece from the Royal Flemish line made by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. - circa 1890's.
Marked: PAIRPOINT MFCCO - NEW BEDFORD MASS - around a circle with the words - QUADRUPLE PLATE around the Pairpoint 'P' in a diamond logo - 668.
Measurements:
FRAME - 10" tall, 4.25" wide.
JAR - 5.25" high with Lid, 4.25" without, 3.25" wide, 3" wide mouth.
TONGS - 6.25" long.
