Antiqued silvertone brooch, of a hippocampus, a mythical half fish, half horse.

Horse portion is covered with a translucent blue-gray enamel, the fish tail is covered with a coffee colored enamel that shows off the scaly texture of the metal below it.

backside has both a diagonal bar pin, and a large bail, 

so it can be worn as either a pin or as a pendant (does not come with a necklace though).

a little over 2.25" tall, 1.5" wide.
