Thanks for looking! This auction is for an antique Martin Handcraft Standard trombone, made about 1940-41. This trombone is all brass, with a bore of .508. It is marked #2A LP (low pitch?). Whatever finish it used to have is mostly gone. I don’t think the standard horns had a very fancy finish from what I’ve seen. Now it just has the aged yellow brass look. Considering the age ( pre-WWII) it is in pretty good shape, it has some shallow dings but nothing really awful. The slide lock is missing, as is the cork in the water key. Slide looks really good with all the plating in good shape except for one spot the size of a match head on the stockings. It does move freely but I wouldn’t describe it as extremely loose. I have noticed some fairly light green corrosion inside the horn that could be cleaned out. Comes with an old Bach 12 mouthpiece and a vintage Holton Colligiate case that is functional but in fairly poor condition. If you have any questions, just ask!
