WW1  M1897 Royal Engineering Officers sword with field scabbard. Features pierced bowl guard with period worn nickel finish, GRv royal cypher to bowl facing, good sharkskin wire bound grip, 83cm brightly etched blade with brass proof roundel and features  Kings crown royal cypher and Royal Engineers lighting bolt logo clearlr etched to blade surface, blade is unsharpened with some age toning as per photos,  scabbard of dark leather over wood has leather section missing near drag, overall condition is good with normal period field wear and this is a good example of the scarce engineers sword carried through WW1. Overall length of 99cm
