BENETTON'S CHAMPIONSHIP. TICKET AND RESEVATION TICKET IN BENETTON PASS CASE/HOLDER. ROUND 16/17. SCHUMACHER'S THEN RECORD EQUALLING NINTH VICTORY IN 1995 AND THE RACE WHICH CONFIRMED BENETTON AS CONSTRUCTORS' CHAMPION.  Schumacher had clinched the drivers' world championship (his second) with victory at the Pacific Grand Prix at Aida (also in Japan), the previous week and he continued his form with a convincing win in wet conditions at Suzuka. Strangely given his dominance in race wins in 1995 this was only Schumacher's fourth pole of the season and it was to be Jean Alesi in the Ferrari who led the challenge to Schumacher in the race until mechanical failure on the 25th lap ended his race. Williams, still recovering from the loss of Senna in 1994 and with the still relatively inexperienced Hill and Coulthard as drivers, suffered a race which pretty much summed up their season with Hill spinning when in P2 on lap 37 and again on lap 40 which ended his race. Coulthard had also spun off into the gravel on lap 39 and with the two DNFs and Johnny Herbert's third place this confirmed Benetton as constructors' champion to add to Schumacher's drivers' championship the previous week.

Race Podium:
Michael Schumacher 1st, Mika Hakkinen 2nd, Johnny Herbert 3rd.
