This antique egg carrier is a beautiful addition to any primitive collection. It is made of wood and has a medium wood tone color. The crate can hold one dozen eggs and has a top to keep them secure. It was originally created in the early 1900s to 1940s in the U.S. This egg crate is perfect for anyone interested in country-style antiques and collecting vintage items.
The carrier is unmarked, but appears to be the same as others I've had marked Star. I'll include a second lid that's not in great condition.
The inside carrier looks to have been used to hold Easter eggs since there is some color on the bottom openings.
