you are admiring a 1940s-early '50s fidelity motorcycle jacket. if it looks like a same period Indian mc jacket, it is because fidelity made Indian mc jackets, according to info in the rin tanaka motorcycle jacket book. the jacket is in over all very good condition considering it is 70+ years old. the main zipper is a talon m-42 [same as used on wwll a-2 jackets], and works properly without issue. the sleeves, pockets, and upper chest zippers are unmarked, but are original and period correct, either talons or conmars, and they too work properly. the quilted liner has minor separation at the collar, and one of the bottom hems. easily repairable. the front quarter horsehide shell is thick and supple. however, there are minor fissures at the inside collar. this does not interfere with wearability. the hides were originally black, but over time, the lighter brown under has begun to show through. please read the measurements carefully, as I do not wish to entertain refunds for "gee, it don't fit like my Schott". laid flat, pit to pit: 21 3/4". front length: 22". sleeves from the shoulder seam to end of cuff: 25". shoulder seam to shoulder seam at the top back:18". back length from the collar seam to bottom of the back:24 1/2". with these. measurements in mind, I would say that it will fit a guy who is a size 40 or trim 42. furthermore, by these measurements, you will note that this jacket is not one of those short waisted modern mc jackets, but in proper wearable length. these fidelity mc jackets are quite uncommon,, and in every day wearable condition, down right rare.
