Written to "Dear Turner" (General Sir Alfred Edward Turner).  

"Just a line to thank you for your very kind letter. My step-son being only 'slightly' wounded must be all right. I take it he is being well looked after in Kimberley, although I have no news to that effect. Again thanking you, I am, yours very truly Cecil Norton. Sorry to hear you are in your dentists' hands C.N."
