A lovely antique albumen print photograph by Baron Wilhelm von Gloeden (German, 1856-1931). Image of two gentelmen and two ladies in the Latomie of Santa Venera, Syracuse, Italy. Loose and unframed, measures approx. 8.75"h x 6.5"l. In antique condition, with toned edges, spotted discoloration, some staining (possibly from acid in tape to verso?), texture to the sheet with some creasing/impressions, a slight upward curl at the sheet's edges, and the edges possibly trimmed - see pictures. Studio stamp to verso.
