An elegant hand embroidered quilted jacket from Shanghai - probably in the 1940s.  It has very fine hand embroidery with blue and pink ombre flowers which, amazingly, is done over tiny pleats in the back.  It is trimmed in a gold braid, has a mandarin collar, 2 frog closures in the front and a grey silk lining.  

The condition is excellent.  We note some slight wear to the trim at the collar and some unravelling of the frogs.
