This is a set of 32 books published by Chapman and Hall Limited in London in around 1870. These books are undated, but they were printed by Richard Clay and Sons of London and Bungay, and the two associations and the fact that the set includes Dombey & Son, means that this is the approximate date of publishing.
These are the illustrated cabinet edition of the set, the books are 8 vo with marble paper sides, cloth backs and uncut paper edges. They are in in good condition for their age, all the spines are secure and there is minimal damage for something that is over 150 years old.
