This is a very rare ARMED FORCES RADIO & TELEVISION SERVICE DJ promotional LP in very good condition.

This one from 1980 features the soundtrack for Flash Gordon by Queen on side 1.

Side 2 features The Idolmaker soundtrack composed by Jeff Barry.

AFRTS aka AMERICAN FORCES RADIO AND TELEVISION SERVICE LPs were sent to United States military base radio stations and typically featured two different artists and their current releases per record side. Some featured only one artist and others were compilations with three or more different artists. They offered only abridged versions of the LPs and in some cases edited or shortened the length of the tracks that were on these Military Station Library only records.

Check out the photos for track listings and running times.

An extremely limited number of these were pressed and they are very hard to find.

The vinyl is VG+. There is some light surface noise crackling, a pop or two and some scuffs on the record.

These were sent in heavy paper sleeves and a lot of times you will see the catalogue numbers written in the upper corners.

This would be an fantastic addition to any serious psych or rare vinyl collection.
