The Bongo is a model introduced this time by Music Man, which introduced the Stingray, the third bass following the Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, to the market, with a view to a new direction.

The body is made of lightweight basswood, with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The model has a distinctive design, but it was designed by a team of designers from BMW, a premium German car brand, and boasts high playability thanks to its ergonomically shaped body.
The 24-fret design is also recommended for bassists who believe in technical playing.

The pickups use neodymium magnets, which have stronger magnetic force than the common alnico magnets, and are used in the current Stingray Special model, but were originally used in the BONGO pickups.

The preamp is 18 volts, which is different from the StingRays of the time, but it is a 4-band equalizer with 2 levels of high mid, low mid and mid, and the 18 volts allows for a clear sound boost from the large headroom.

This used instrument was made in 2003 and shows signs of use such as scratches, dings, and dull metal parts, but the frets are still low and the truss rod works fine.
There are also some sticker marks on the top and back of the body, and some paint damage on the back of the body.

Unlike the 1-pickup model that gives the impression of a typical Music Man bass, this 2-pickup model has a single coil mounted in the front position, which allows for a wide range of sound variations with not only a 4-band equalizer but also a pickup balancer.
