I carefully clean my records with a Moth MKII record cleaning machine. They are visually inspected and play-tested so I know how every record sounds, and they have been graded accordingly.  Each record is packaged carefully in good quality new record mailers. Records are posted within three days of payment being made, but if for some reason this isn't possible, I will let you know.

Records are posted to you in new LP mailers.  I ship using Australia Post standard for records which includes tracking.

COMBINED POSTAGE

I am happy to combine postage and send an e-bay invoice for your combined purchases within 24 hours of a listing ending.   For 2-3 records the postage is $20 and for 3-10 records postage will be $25. If purchasing multiple LPs please contact me before making final payment and wait for my invoice before completing checkout.

Summary Of Record Grading System:

Record:

M

Mint. Absolutely perfect in every way.  Brand new and no signs of play.

NM

Near Mint.  Near perfect record. More likely never been played. Vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback.  No obvious signs of wear.

EX

Excellent. Used, but no visible scratches, scuffs or marks.

  VG+

Very Good Plus.  Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled be a previous owner who took good care of it.  Defects should be no more than cosmetic in nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole.  Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience.  Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.

VG

Very Good.  Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record.  Surface noise will be evident during playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise.  Groove wear will be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

G

Good.  Can be played without skipping but it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear.   While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and ticks will almost certainly accompany playback.

P

Poor. Record will not play through without skipping, major scratches, scuffing or badly warped.

Sleeve:

M

Mint. Absolutely perfect in every way. Brand new and possibly sealed (if specified).

NM

Near Mint.  The sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as any sign of slight handling. The LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts such as posters, lyric sleeves etc.

EX

Excellent. Used, but no visible marking, creases, or writing.

VG+

Very Good Plus.  The record sleeve may have some ring wear or discolouration, but it should be barely noticeable.  Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split.  An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner.

VG

Very Good.  Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue attached].  The same will be for picture sleeves or LP covers

G

Good.   A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine.  Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will be present.

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.
